Nana Dr Dankawoso I inducted as President-General of WANF April 26, 2021 Nana Dr Appiagyei Dankawoso I (right) receives a sod of office as the President General of WANF from Justice Isaac Douse The Omanhene of Asante Juaben Traditional Area in the Ashanti Region, Nana Dr Appiagyei Dankawoso I, has been inducted into office as the President-General of the West Africa Nobles Forum (WANF). WANF is a non-governmental group of more than 3,000 eminent personalities from various fields of work across the sub-region, set up in 2003, to promote integrity and accountability as well as drive socio-economic integration. Nana Dankawoso, the immediate past President of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, takes over from Dr Paul Fynn, Chancellor of Wisconsin International University College, and would lead the Forum for five years.

Nana Otuo Siriboe II Elected Chairman of The 8th Council Of State

  The 8th Council of State at its maiden meeting on Tuesday, 23rd February 2021, pursuant to Article 89(3) has unanimously elected Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Omanhene of Asante Juaben as its Chairman. Nana Otuo Siriboe II who was the Chairman of the 7th Council had previously served as a member of the Council of State between 2001 and 2009 during the Presidency of His Excellency John Agyekum Kuffour. The Chairman of the 8th Council of State is an Electrical Engineering by profession. He graduated from the then University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, in 1969 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. As the Chairman of the 7th Council, Nana Otuo Siriboe II led the re-engineering of the operations of the Council of State which culminated in the passage of the Council of State Act, 2020 (Act 1037) to which the President gave his assent on 23rd December 2020.
