After the closure of the famous Baljees restaurant in July 2019, another iconic eating joint Indian Coffee House, crumbling under mounting liabilities due to Covid, is on the brink of closure here.
The sales have dipped drastically during the pandemic and employees have not been paid salary for almost a year now and it is becoming tough to survive, said manager of Indian Coffee House Atma Ram, adding, “We are giving Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 to staff to run their homes”.
