The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) that handed over Arunachal Pradesh youth Miram Taron to the Indian Army on January 27 nine days after he was allegedly abducted, had tortured the teenager while he was in its custody, Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao claimed on Wednesday.
A warm welcome awaited Miram Taron today as he reunited with his family in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district about two weeks after the 17-year-old had gone missing along the Line of Actual Control with China, triggering concern nationwide.
The Chinese People s Liberation Army (PLA) has handed over the abducted 17-year-old boy from Arunachal Pradesh to the Indian Army, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Thursday. Miran Taron was kidnapped on January 19 from Lungta Jor area under Siyungla area of Upper Siang district.
