we re monitoring events in cairo where we re set to hear from the command of forces which is the military generals that have been run egypt since the revolution about a year and a half ago. they ve been withholding announcement of who won the presidential election from this week and that announcement is imminent. we have correspondents, we ve been talking about the error spring and the revolution and the egyptian revolution which so captured our imagination here in the u.s. for a variety of reasons and tracking its progress and. greg: george, you made calendars. there are different calend calendars. most people recognize as an election cycle and the normal process of things and a revolutionary calendar which tells us we re building
the streets. hamas says egypt must open the crossing. one famous voice who has been blogging and tweeting throughout this revolution, is the egyptian star in syriana. he s an activist, too. i guess the egyptians built the pyramids, after all. i spoke to him and asked what it s like to be in cairo the last few days. it was we can match that with possibly the opening of the great pyramids. indeed. the one thing that is really important about this is that egypt is the center of the arab world. you re an actor. you know that films are seen throughout the middle east. what happens in egypt will affect the rest of the region.

we saw protesters chant, we are peaceful. britain is also calling itself a friend of egypt. and like president obama, prime minister david cameron is offering his country s assistance, as egypt moves forward. egypt now has a really precious moment of opportunity, to have a government that can bring the country together. as a friend of egypt and the egyptian people, we stand ready to help in any way that we can. we believe it must be a government that starts to put in place the building blocks of a truly open, free and democratic society. and of course, who has happened today, should only be the first step. those that run egypt, have a duty to reject the wants of the egyptian people. palestinian people take to
