As you may know, the new iPad Pro featuring Apple’s M1 chip has launched. There are a few variants with different storage configurations and screen sizes, but there are only two memory configurations: 8GB and 16GB. What’s interesting is that no matter which one you choose, you won’t be able to fully use it because apps are only accessing around 5GB of memory.
The issue was brought up when a user commented on the Procreate Folio forum, explaining that he was unable to transfer a file from his old iPad to a new 5th gen iPad Pro. As per the user, the iPad Pro displayed a message saying that the file was too big.

As it prepares to do battle in court with Apple over App Store fees, Epic Games has acquired ArtStation, an online marketplace for digital artists, the companies announced. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
“The ArtStation leadership team brings tremendous talent and an unparalleled track record of supporting a vibrant creator community and ecosystem,” Epic Games vice president and general manager Marc Petit said in a statement. “We look forward to working with them to provide creators with access to even more resources and tools, empowering them to do their best work.”

Epic have bought ArtStation, the 2D and 3D artist portfolio website. The site is popular with artists in the games industry, and ArtStation say they will remain accessible to all, including those that don’t use Unreal Engine.
They ve also dropped the cut they take on the site s asset marketplace from 30% to 12%, bringing it in line with the cut Epic take from developers on the Epic Games Store, and made the site s learning resources entirely free until the end of the year.
ArtStation has become the de facto site of choice for game artists looking to build an online portfolio. For example, it s where you can go to look at the work of the Halo Infinite art director (pictured above), which I wrote about last year.
