The Arts Institute of Middlesex County is presenting a multitude of arts and culture events, exhibitions and shows throughout June, primarily centered around Pride Month.
While the pandemic has affected in-person events, artists all over the county and the Middlesex County Arts Institute have come together to find creative ways of connecting residents through public art, virtual experiences and safe performances.
The county’s Arts Institute has helped partners navigate this new environment with engaging and thought-provoking experiences.

Middlesex County celebrates History Month with spectrum of arts and culture events
The Arts Institute of Middlesex County is presenting a multitude of arts and culture events, exhibitions and shows throughout May, primarily centered around History Month.
While the pandemic has affected in-person events, artists all over the county and the Middlesex County Arts Institute have come together to find creative ways of connecting residents through public art, virtual experiences, and safe performances.
These events can be accessed virtually every Wednesday at 4 p.m. and are free.
May 5 at 4 p.m.: In celebration of History Month, join the Civic League of Greater New Brunswick in a reading of “Bees: A Honeyed History” written and illustrated by Wojciech Grajkowski and Piotr Socha. After learning about these powerful pollinators, create your own bee collage with scraps you have on hand.

Keep Middlesex Moving has developed a transportation finder to help seniors find a ride to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
The tool allows users to see what transportation options are available at almost all of the 40-plus vaccination sites in Middlesex County.
The Middlesex County Regional COVID-19 Vaccine Mega-site, operated by RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking volunteers to assist in the efficiency of the registration and vaccination process and help visitors feel comfortable.
Volunteers of the mega-site, located at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center, 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison, will greet patients and visitors; perform temperature screenings; direct patients through various steps of the vaccination process; provide education materials; and assist with maintaining the registration area and supplying vaccination stations.
