Supporting regional communities to reconnect through Arts
76 arts projects across Australia will share in almost $1.2 million as part of the latest round of the Morrison Government’s 2021 Regional Arts Fund Project grants, supporting sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities.
Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities, Communications and Arts, the Hon Paul Fletcher MP said the funding will increase employment opportunities and boost local economies in regional Australia.
“This funding will help regional artists develop works and shows that can be enjoyed by Australians everywhere – both in regional and metropolitan areas,” Minister Fletcher said.
“As we continue to deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, building community engagement is more important than ever, and these projects will develop audiences and broaden community involvement with the arts – reconnecting regional communities.”
