The Rector of the Institute, Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, urged the government to continue in its funding support for the school to enable it to complete structures on the new campus.
He further assured government of school’s readiness to contribute to the passage of the University for Film, Journalism and Languages Bill which proposes to merge the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).

Neoga Community Unit School District #3 has announced that Jordan Bear has been selected as the Neoga Elementary School Principal for the 2021-2022 academic school year. Bear will succeed Denise Helmers, who is departing at the end of this school year.
Bear is currently the K-8 Technology teacher for Neoga Elementary and Neoga Junior High School. Prior to that, he taught junior high school science in Neoga. His teaching career started as an elementary teacher at Paris Crestwood from 2009-2015.
Neoga school officials said Bear s elementary school teaching experience, his strong background on the benefits of Professional Learning Communities, and his knowledge of Educational Technology will aid him in leading Neoga Elementary School.
WEST CHESTERâThe borough was forced to borrow $2.5 million; otherwise, some employee salaries for December, and well into 2021, would not have been paid.
The loan from Santander Bank, at a 1.25 percent annual interest rate, will cover anticipated borough expenses until property tax revenues are collected in March. Municipalities regularly take out such loans.
The borough chose not to tap into the $8 million reserve fund, or accumulated savings. Doing so would have likely impacted the boroughâs interest rate when borrowing long-term.

Borough officials partly blamed this yearâs shortfall on the pandemic. Finance Committee Chairman and Borough Councilman Bernie Flynn pointed at a $1.5 million loss in parking revenue as a major contributing factor in the deficit.
