Mr Eagle commented: “Closure has had a massive impact on us. We are an arts organisation that generates almost all of its income through ticket sales, classes, hires, café bar and other activity. The small remaining amount comes from Arts Council of Wales and is used to support our arts and education programme. Our capacity to earn income literally stopped overnight and that was profoundly scary.”

Opening the season on the 24 March is a timely filmed reimagining of the Company s 2018 work Still Touch. The piece explores the weight felt on the body when a person is denied human contact and the lightness that can be found through connecting with people. Creative hub for young people in Bangor secures triple funding boost

A new creative centre for young people in Bangor received a triple funding boost this week. Nyth, the new home for Welsh language theatre company Frân Wen, has secured £3.21m for the transformation of the grade-II listed St Mary s Church in the city centre. The project has been allocated £1.8m from the National Lottery, administrated through Arts Council of Wales, £1.2m through Cyngor Gwynedd by Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns programme, £200,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation and £10,000 from The Pennant Foundation. Once complete, the new centre will become a creative hub where young people and artists can develop their ideas and create exceptional and relevant theatre that speaks from North West Wales to the rest of the country and beyond.
