Spain secured a hattrick of gold medals on the final day of the
International Swimming Federation Artistic Swimming World Series leg
in Paris to finish top of the medal table.
France and the United States won the women’s duet events on the
first day of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Artistic
Swimming World Series leg in Paris.
The absence of Russian and Belarusian athletes who competed as
neutrals at the opening leg of the International Swimming Federation
Artistic Swimming World Series will hugely alter the medal allocations
in the second leg which start in Paris tomorrow.
The International Swimming Federation has confirmed athletes from
Russia and Belarus will be banned from its competitions due to the
nations' involvement in the invasion of Ukraine and the breach of the
Olympic Truce.
Russian and Belarusian swimmers are featuring as neutral athletes as
part of the opening round of the Artistic Swimming World Series, a
virtual two-day competition jointly hosted by the United States and
Canada.
