Christmas is well, its about the best time of the whole year. No matter when they take place, modern era or period, Christmas Movies and Television Specials are always about someone who has lost their faith in humankind regaining it, saved by other people being kind because its christmas. Christmas is the landscape that everybody wants to paint on. Everyone who tells stories is attracted to the heightened emotions that it brings. Nostalgia plays such a huge part in christmas because it is part of so many peoples childhoods. And being able to go back and relive those feelings every year by watching Holiday Movies is just joy. do you think you have a better understanding of him, now that you have written this book? i should note, for people, the book does not start with inauguration day on 2017. it goes back to his family, his roots, his father, fred, who, no offense, sounds like an awful dad to have. do you think you understand him better now, having plunged into his background more for this book? i think there are parts of him that i understand better than before, but the goal had always been, because i come from new york, and i have covered new york politics, and aspects of new york s various systems for a long time, i think the goal had always been to try to show the animating forces. which i understood before, about the world he came from, and what has shaped him, and how he exported that to washington d. c., to the white house, and to the republican party. it lives on in our politics. it was understanding, previously, that i have a richer understanding of certain aspects it s a fantasti
