A 42-year-old former math teacher was sentenced to nearly 39 years in federal prison on Feb 16 for devising an elaborate catfishing scheme to trick dozens of his current and former students into sending him sexually explicit photos of themselves.
A New Jersey man who oversaw a suburban Philadelphia nursing home pleaded no contest Wednesday to endangering three residents who before dying suffered health complications because of inadequate staffing levels, prosecutors said.
The defendant, Chaim “Charlie” Steg, 40, of Lakewood, had been regional operations director for the St. Francis Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Darby. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

A Springfield chiropractor will face trial in Delaware County Court on charges that he assaulted seven women who went to him for treatment.
Ardel Cirio, 61, is charged with seven counts of indecent assault and one count of aggravated indecent assault. Prosecutors say he groped and fondled the women in his office in Newtown Square at various points over the last two years.
In a nearly four-hour court hearing Wednesday, the seven women described chiropractic sessions with Cirio that they said left them paralyzed with fear as he groped their breasts and in one case digitally penetrated a womanâs vagina.
