Washington native is helping re-do a plaza at the Illinois State Fairgounds coliseum
PEORIA The northwest entrance to the historic coliseum at the Illinois State Fairgrounds is getting a new look courtesy of Washington native Sean Rennau and artist David Seagraves of Elizabeth.
A landscape architect and civil engineer with Austin Engineering in Peoria, Rennau teamed up with Seagraves to create a design which, this spring, won the Art-In Architecture call out issued by the state of Illinois.
“This is part of a state of Illinois program, arts and architecture they call it, when the state spends a certain amount of money on a public building, a percentage of that has to go to an art project,” said Seagraves.
