New Zealand s capital city, Wellington, is preparing for
another world first in 2021 with an official, public parade
to mark St. Patrick s Day.
Wellingtonians are being
encouraged to wear something green and celebrate St
Patrick s Day on Sunday, 14 March from 1pm to 5pm with a
family friendly parade starting at Odlins Plaza and ending
at Queens Wharf.
Wellington Irish President, Ian Long
said the St Patrick s Day Parade this year was extra special
due to Covid-19 restrictions around the world curtailing
many public gatherings and the parade provided
Wellingtonians a unique opportunity to celebrate a love for
all things Irish.

Thousands
of New Zealanders have joined rock music icon, Rod Stewart,
in a nationwide singalong of his hit song, Sailing, to send
a message of togetherness to the world.
On Saturday
afternoon, Rod Stewart’s powerful and emotive performance,
recorded on a boat on the Thames in London, was beamed into
Auckland’s America’s Cup Village and around the country.
And with the event being one of few global events to
currently take place, it was no surprise that thousands of
people joined Rod to sing their hearts out with this special
message from New Zealand to the world.

This week, US Influencers “Alex the Vagabond” and
“Carrie Rad” who collectively boast over 500,000 Youtube
and Instagram followers, arrived in Hastings to discover the
best of what the district has to offer.

arrived in New Zealand in January after leaving California
for a life down-under, and are currently exploring the
country looking for the perfect place to call

2019, Carrie and Alex, who has dual US and NZ citizenship,
decided to make the move to New Zealand and spent the next

Splore is celebrating Level 1 with newly available
festival tickets. Splore is throwing the biggest eclectic
party of the summer, hosting some of Aotearoa’s top talent
in music, visual art and performance - the remaining tickets
are expected to sell fast. Splore’s main stage will
feature 100% female and gender mixed acts, multiple music
zones will cater to different genres and a performance
cabaret evening will intrigue and draw collective breaths.
National treasures Jools and Lynda Topp will be there to
guide the festival goers as Camp Mother and Camp
Leader.

Jeff Musgrave shows off a large elk antler in the storage area of the Peak Antler Co. shop in January in Woodland Park.
