Tom Taraska, UWO alumnus and arguably one of the most successful high school football coaches in Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association history, died Oct. 15 at the age of 71 after a single-vehicle car crash in Hartland. According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, Taraska died after the car he was driving hit a tree alongside.
