things to happen. i am in general opposition of this kind of proceedings taking place. reporter: she explained she refused to answer the secret grand jury questions because doing so violated her first, fourth and sixth amendment rights. i have already given an enormous amount of testimony in this case. i see no reason why we should go over the same thing again. reporter: wikileaks took to twitter this morning after manning s arrest writing, chelsea manning jailed for refusing to testify on wikileaks and asange. lawyers are being forced to testify against journalists and sent to jail when they don t comply. manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison in 2013, though president obama ultimately commuted her sentence just before he left office. julian asange, founder of wikileaks has been in hiding in london since 2012.
