NISKAYUNA – An allegedly intoxicated Goshen woman caused a fatal, head-on crash that occurred July 1, authorities said Thursday.
Dennis Farrell, 77, of Colonie, died in the crash that occurred at Route 7 and Lisha Kill Road, while his wife was injured, according to a statement by Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney and Niskayuna acting Police Chief Michael Stevens.
Gina Hassan was charged Wednesday by Niskayuna police with manslaughter in the second degree, assault in the second degree, driving while intoxicated and other traffic infractions.
Hassan was headed east on Route 7 at about 3:15 p.m. that day, investigators said.
