The Palace of the Ooni of Ife, on Thursday, declared that the monarch, Adeyeye Ogunwusi has forgiven Sunday Adeyemo over his derogatory statement against the monarch.
Sunday, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, had on Tuesday, claimed that the Ooni of Ife, along with other Yoruba leaders, were going behind to collect dollars from the presidency and had failed in speaking truth to power.
He has, however, apologised but denied claims that he is working for some politicians.
Meanwhile, the palace disclosed that Ooni of Ife was not concerned by the abuses of words rained on him by Sunday Igboho.

The activist accused the monarch of disappointing the Yoruba people during his visit to the President, Muhammadu Buhari, over the herdsmen crisis rocking the South-West region.

The Ooni of Ife, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, said he has forgiven Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho), over the Fulani slave comment Igboho made in a viral video.
The media aide to Ooni, Moses Olafare, disclosed this on Thursday, stating that the monarch was behind Igboho.
Olafare explained that Ogunwusi was silent on Igboho’s allegations because “it is not in the style of the Ooni to make an official response on any matter that threatens the unity and peace of the country, especially as it affects the descendants of Oduduwa worldwide”.

Ooni’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare on Thursday said Ooni Ogunwusi was unperturbed with the abuses of words rained on him by the Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho.
Olafare who stated this while answering questions from newsmen in Ile-Ife on the recent misconducts of the Yoruba activist who spoke derogatorily about the monarch personality said “Sunday Igboho still remained a son to the Ooni and he had forgiven him when he tendered an apology via a video clip he produced on social media Wednesday evening.
The royal father according to Olafare could not bicker with one of his sons even in the face of quantum of provocations.
