BJP demanded disqualification of Karnataka Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresha from state assembly after his aides were held for creating fake documents.
The BJP and JDS have alleged that the cash is a part of the kickbacks collected by the Congress party for release of Rs 650 crore as payments to civil contractors for works done for the BBMP during the previous BJP regime.
This year women made up 4.45% of the winning MLAs in Karnataka, the highest in 34 yrs; a study done on women quotas in local polls showed they were not able to sustain political careers.
Preetham Gowda to News18: "The BJP is as powerful as the JDS in the Old Mysore region. The decision on Hassan will be taken jointly when the time comes. It will definitely not be taken unilaterally or by a family member."
