Star Spangled Salute: A Veteran is Saved By His Son

Posted By: JJ Hayes December 14, 2020 @ 3:36 am Blogs, JJ Hayes Show Page     Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Patrick Skluzacek.  When Patrick came home from Iraq in the mid-2000’s, his then 13-year old son Tyler knew his Dad had changed.  The man that used to be active and happy, was now irritable, lethargic and worst of all, not sleeping.  Patrick was having terrible PTSD nightmares and the VA couldn’t help, they just knew that Veterans were having nightmares, some being driven to take their lives. Tyler knew he wanted to help is Dad and other’s so in his senior year in college he developed a smart watch app called “Nightware” that monitors heart rate and recognizes nightmares, emits a vibration and gently pulls the person out of their nightmare.  The device has received FDA clearance and is on its way to helping others.  Thank you Tyler for helping and THANK YOU Patri
