In January, I covered the story of Maj. Andrew Calvert.
The U.S. Army chaplain recently perused a military newspaper’s Facebook page, whereupon he asked a question:
“How is rejecting reality (biology) not evidence that a person is mentally unfit (ill), and thus making that person unqualified to serve?”
He drew a connection to a different kind of denial:
“There is little difference in this than over those who believe and argue for a ‘flat earth’ despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.”
And he spoke of mental health:
“The motivation is different, but the argument is the same. This person is a MedBoard for Mental Wellness waiting to happen. What a waste of military resources and funding!”
‘Old school rant’ bashing ponytails gets rejected by senior enlisted soldier’s command Children play with a U.S. soldier s hair during a mission in Afghanistan. (Sgt. Canaan Radcliffe/Army) Last week, the Army authorized ponytails and braids for female soldiers in all uniforms. While many
troops celebrated the change, there has been backlash from some on social media. “How about females maintain the SAME standard as men instead of loosening the standards for one gender?” said one Army Times Facebook commenter. “Where is the dislike button?” said another. “This doesn’t look professional and doesn’t uphold the standards that come with wearing the uniform.”
A U.S. Army chaplain based in Texas is facing an investigation after he made a social media post suggesting that transgender individuals are “mentally unfit” to serve in the military.

The cancel culture is in full swing and now appears to have infected the United States military. The most recent example? Officials at Ford Hood, Texas are investigating an Army chaplain for expressing his opinion on a social media post about President Joe Biden s executive order changing the rules on transgender people serving openly in the military.
NBC News reports Maj. Andrew Calvert, a chaplain with the 3rd Security Force Assistance Brigade at the Texas fort, wrote his comments on the Army Times Facebook page. How is rejecting reality (biology) not evidence that a person is mentally unfit (ill), and thus making that person unqualified to serve? There is little difference in this than over those who believe and argue for a flat earth, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Calvert wrote, according to screenshots.
