Our Correspondent Imphal, Aug. 31 (EMN): The reigning Indian Super League (ISL) champions Hyderabad FC (HFC) outplayed Neroca FC 3-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals of the 131st Indian Oil Durand Cup, at the latter’s home turf-the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in Imphal. In a highly impressive professional display by HFC in Group C, the Manolo Marquez managed side now has three wins from three games and their top striker Bartholomew Ogbeche, who had his second brace of the tournament, also climbed on top of the highest scorer’s chart, with four goals now against his name. Our Correspondent Imphal, Aug. 22 (EMN): Indian Super League (ISL) champions Hyderabad FC (HFC) began their 131st IndianOil Durand Cup campaign with a dominating 2-0 win over local favourites Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) FC at the Khuman Lampak main stadium in Imphal on Monday. This was TRAU’s second successive loss in the tournament. The team lost to rivals NEROCA 1-3 in their opening game on August 18. The HFC team was cheered by locals wearing yellow jerseys as their star players Mohammed Yasir and Chinglensana are from Manipur. In the Group C encounter in Monday’s first game, HFC scored two splendid goals through Halicharan Narzary in the 27th minute and Borja Herrera in the 52nd minute to seal three points.
