SRINAGAR: A large number of educational institutions including Army’s Public and Goodwill Schools besides Kendriya Vidyalayas operating from the military cantonments in Jammu have been shut as a precautionary measure in view of a high alert in Jammu & Kashmir ahead of the G20 summit in Srinaga.
The G20 meet is scheduled from May 22 to 24. The schools were closed following reports that terrorists may hit soft targets ahead of the G20 meet being held in Srinagar.
Nearly a dozen army schools in the Jammu region have been shut as a precautionary measure amid a high alert in Jammu and Kashmir after the Rajouri terror attack.
The G20 meet in Srinagar is scheduled from May 22 to 24. The schools were closed down following reports that terrorists may attack soft targets ahead of the G20 meet.
