The police in Bauchi State said they had apprehended no fewer than 18 persons, including nine teenagers, for allegedly organising a sex party in Dass town, Dass Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ahmed Wakil, who disclosed this while parading the suspects before journalists at the command’s headquarters in Bauchi on Wednesday, said the suspects were arrested following the command’s efforts to crack down on criminal activities across the state.
He said, “In furtherance to our commitment to cracking down on criminal conspiracy, housebreaking, indecent acts and thuggery, the command has made adequate use of intelligence gathering towards continuous maintenance of law and order, and this has continued to yield positive results.

A fatal crash at the Tirwun suburb of Bauchi, about three kilometres to the state capital, has claimed the lives of 20 persons, who were burnt beyond recognition.
Our correspondent learnt that the crash involved two vehicles.
It was gathered that only two females survived without the accident out of the 22 passengers in the two vehicles.

A 20-year-old man in Bauchi State has been arrested by the police for allegedly cutting off the private parts of a six-year-old child for ritual purposes.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Friday.
He said when the police received the complaint by the aunt of the victim, they swung into action and arrested the suspect while his accomplice was still at large.
Wakil added that when the police rushed the victim to the hospital, a medical doctor confirmed that her private parts had been tampered with.
