The American Red Cross has several blood drives coming up in the area. One of them will take place today in Mount Vernon at the Tri-County Electrical Co-op from 12 until 4 PM. To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Next week, there is a drive on Monday at Eldorado High School from 9 AM until 1 PM and a drive at the Rolland Lewis Community Center in Mount Vernon from 12 PM until 5 PM. On Tuesday, a drive will be held at Full Armor Christian Academy in Louisville from 2:30 until 6:30 PM. On Wednesday, there is a drive at Bluford Elementary School from 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Thursday, a drive will be held by Laborers Local 1197 from 12 PM until 5 PM as well as Central Christian Church of Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon High School will host a drive on Friday from 9 AM until 3 PM.
