Suspended police official arrested with yaba in Sylhet for the second time Star Online Report Star Online Report
Police arrested suspended sub-inspector Rukon Uddin Bhuiyan of the Armed Police Battalion in Sylhet and four others while they were selling yaba in Sylhet city this afternoon.
The other arrestees are Rukon Uddin s associate Rima Begum, Jashim Uddin, Fahim Shahriar and Farid Ahmed, reports our Sylhet correspondent.
BM Ashraf Ullah Taher, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, said that the five were caught red-handed selling drugs in Subidbazar area by a team from Kotwali Police Station in the afternoon.
Police recovered 182 pieces of yaba and Tk 82,300 in cash from them, said the police official, adding that a case is being filed in this regard.
