An Alton man with a history of drug crime convictions has been charged with nine felonies following his arrest Thursday morning. 38-year-old Dane C. Tannler of the 300 block of Dry Street was taken into custody as police acted on tips from neighbors suspecting possible drug activity at that location.
Tannler is charged with Armed Violence, Armed Habitual Criminal, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Criminal Fortification of a Residence, and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond has been set at $500,000, and a motion requiring 100% of that bond has been approved.
