The Fort Hood Soldier Development Center is returning to pre-COVID operations, after operating virtually for more than a year.
âWe are very excited to reopen,â Peggy Stamper, education services specialist, said. âWe are steadfast in our belief that we have the best mission on Fort Hood. We get to help Soldiers improve their futures by increasing their education and credentialing accomplishments.â
To reduce the amount of foot traffic normally coming through the education center, in-person customer traffic was limited to appointments only. During the closure, all classes were conducted virtually, school representatives began teleworking and the computer lab was completely closed. Testing was limited and offered by appointment only, and counseling was conducted telephonically.
