With the popularity of the Arlington Alfresco outdoor dining zone in downtown Arlington Heights has come street performers and new proposed rules that would allow them to perform there until 9 p.m. daily so long as they don t use sound systems.
Arlington Heights elected representatives and staff Monday lambasted a conservative political advocacy group s proposed anti-corporate welfare ordinance, though the village board didn t take a formal vote on it, saying the organization failed to secure enough valid signatures on its petition.
Concerns over traffic, noise, property taxes, the impact on schools and the village’s thriving downtown, topped the list of concerns expressed by a half dozen Arlington Heights residents.
