Club news: Christian Women connect Today at 1:00 a.m. A group from the Garden Club of Rogers took a guided tour of the Linnaeus Teaching Gardens in Tulsa, Okla. The gardens offered a variety of floral gardens, vegetable gardens, herb gardens and waterfalls, and a coy pond. After the tour the group had lunch at Brookside Diner, followed by a short tour of the private garden of Lee Dickerson, also in Tulsa. There was 13 in attendance. Arkansas economist: A lot of good news in April jobs report

University of Arkansas Walton College economist Mervin Jebaraj says the April 2021 Arkansas jobs report is layered with good news. Labor officials reported two weeks ago that Arkansas’ jobless rate in April remained stable at 4. 4% from March and it was dramatically down from the 10% unemployment rate recorded in April 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jebaraj said April was good because it reversed a three-month trend of people.
