The South Arkansas Arts Center is pleased to welcome SAAC veteran Sandy Bennet and her new exhibit "Through the Cracks" to the Lobby Gallery. These works will hang June 2-30. Sponsored by Cadence Bank, there will be an opening champagne reception on Friday, June 2 at 7:00pm.
The annual Pulaski County Fair offers nine days of rides, food and entertainment, noon-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday and May 26-27; 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 and 28; and noon-8 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 29, at North Little Rock s Riverfront Park, 120 Riverfront Drive, on the banks of the Arkansas River.
"Mrs. Lucy s Wash," a painting by Little Rock artist Glenda McCune, is one of 80 works chosen by a panel of five artists and arts leaders from 425 entries for inclusion in the National Art Education Association s Member Exhibition, according to a news release from the Arkansas League of Artists.
The Pine Bluff Art League will honor Inis Danley Ray during a solo art exhibition with a free opening reception from 5-7 p.m. May 20. The exhibit will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center's main lobby, 211 W. Third Ave. The league invites the community to attend and meet Ray and other area artists and view her work.
