By SUSAN JONES Swanson School of Engineering Dean James R. Martin has stepped down from that role to become vice chancellor for STEM research and innovation in the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research, according to an announcement posted Aug. 4 on the provost’s website.
The dean of Syracuse University’s School of Management has been named the new dean of the Katz Graduate School of Business and undergraduate College of Business Administration. Eugene “Gene” Anderson will take over as the new Henry E. Haller Jr. dean effective Aug. 1 and he will join the faculty as a full professor in the Katz School.

Amanda Godley, vice provost for graduate studies, is leading the search committee to replace Arjang Assad, who will transition to faculty on June 30, 2022. Assad has been dean of the Katz Graduate School
