SEATTLE – The University of Washington men s golf team returns to the course this week as it heads to the 74th annual Western Intercollegiate this Monday-Wednesday, April 12-14. The prestigious event will be played at the par-70, 6,615-yard Pasatiempo Golf Club with the GOLF Channel airing footage from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. PT Monday and Tuesday with Wednesday s final round airing from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. A three-hour replay will begin at 8 p.m. each day as well. Hosted by San Jose State, the event is a 6-count-5 tournament with 18 holes being played each day. Washington tees off at 10 a.m. alongside Colorado State on Monday.

DUCKS FINISH SIXTH IN SEASON OPENER
Oregon battled through cold, windy conditions in its first tournament action in over 10 months to finish sixth in a 17-team team field at the Arizona Intercollegiate to open the season. Owen Avrit led the way in his first tournament as a Duck, coming in tied for 10th at 3 over, highlighted by a 4-under 67 in the final round. Avrit was joined in the top 25 by Nate Stember, who came in tied for 22nd and was in the top 10 after the first two rounds before struggling in the difficult conditions in the final round.
