Water levels of major rivers in the north and eastern regions of the country are swelling, which experts said may trigger monsoon flooding.
Jadukataa River at Lourergor point in Sunamganj crossed the danger level on Tuesday while the Surma may cross the red mark in Sunamganj and Sylhet points by Thursday and Saturday and Teesta at Kaunia points in Rangpur by Friday, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Center (FFWC).
