McDONOUGH â Southern Crescent Women in Business have opened a new center aimed at assisting female entrepreneurs and women in business with training, develop partnerships and assist with the growth of female-owned businesses.
SCWIB is comprised of women-owned businesses that have come together to foster business relationships and to help sustain and grow business and the local economy.
âThe pandemic only revealed the inequities among women-owned and minority-owned businesses,â said Ariel Shaw, SCWIB founder and local business woman.
The Womenâs Center plans to host monthly programming to help women who are starting or looking to exponentially grow their business with a 10-week curriculum designed specifically for women-owned businesses to receive foundational training. There will also be additional programming for those interested in contracting, logistics, trade and more.
