The staff of state parks in District 12 was honored with a teamwork award at the South Dakota Division of Parks and Recreation’s annual meeting held virtually in December.
The award was presented to the team in recognition of their efforts to renovate the resort at Spring Creek Recreation Area all while operating their parks during a record year.
“The team was able to get much accomplished in a very challenging year,” said regional park supervisor Pat Thompson. “We were short of seasonal help and there was additional work to do, yet this team got the job done.”
