RANDOLPH TWP. â Avina Pereira has always had a creative side.
The Randolph High School alum decided to tap into it to vent some of her frustrations manifested throughout the year in a demo single, â2020,â available now on iTunes and Spotify.
Pereira, also known by her artist name AEvina, said in a phone interview the concept for the song came at the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March during a conversation with a friend from India.
âShe basically let me know that most astrologers were already warning about the year 2020,â the Class of 2011 RHS alum said.
Though she said she felt nervous after the conversation, she tried to convince herself it would not be the end of times.
