Warner has held senior positions in Australia s diplomatic service, its defense ministry and intelligence services. He also served as the director of Australia s equivalent to the CIA, the Australian Secret Intelligence Service, known as ASIS. Warner discusses the path he took to becoming a top intelligence official, the importance of the power of the trust, and being stranded in an Iranian desert.
