Softball player Ariana Abalos in 2018 at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix for surgery to treat Thoracic Outlet Syndrome by Norton Thoracic Institute surgeon, Samad Hashimi, MD. Told by some doctors that her playing career likely was over, Abalos returned to play in 2020 and 2021 at Portland State University.
