The reality of Oregon’s coronavirus testing hierarchy is not lost on Bend nurse Corey Sattler.
Professional and college athletes have been the most frequently tested people in the state during their seasons: The Timbers four times a week. The Trail Blazers daily. And football and basketball players at the state’s two Pac-12 Conference schools six times per week.
With 285 players among the university teams at Oregon and Oregon State, that’s a weekly total of nearly 1,700 tests.
