A look at some of the major small-cap movers this week
Companies tapping the market don’t normally see their share prices rise but CyanConnode Holdings PLC (LON:CYAN) and Sareum Holdings PLC (LON:SAR) managed it this week.
CyanConnode shot up 62% to 13.5p after it raised £3.15mln through the issue of shares at 9.5p. At the time the shares were issued, that was a 2.2% premium to the prevailing share price.
The specialist in narrowband radio frequency smart mesh networks – that’s smart meters to you and me – was a bit vague about what it intends to do with the money. The company said it will use the funds to increase working capital and allow the company to continue to take advantage of its significant growth opportunities and execute its growing order book and pipeline.

Argos Resources raises USD550,000 to extend Falkland Islands licence

(Alliance News) - Argos Resources Ltd has raised USD550,000 as part of its bid to extend a licence in the Falkland Islands, it announced on Wednesday.
The money was raised through the subscription to 14.4 million new shares at a price equivalent to 2.75 pence each by new shareholders and Executive Chair Ian Thomson.
The drilling and production licence, PL001, covers an area of 1,126 square kilometres in the North Falkland Basin.
Argos Resources said it remained engaged in discussions with counterparties who had expressed an interest in participating in drilling in the area covered in the license.
