Andrew Mitzel Argia Beristain Andrew Mitzel has joined Boise State University as director of government relations. Most recently, he served as a senior advisor to Idaho Governor Brad Little. During his tenure, he advised the governor and chief of staff on local, state and national politics; served as a policy advisor assigned to transportation, tax and real estate; reviewed and processed legislative bills with the governor and chief of staff and was charged with overseeing the 2020 Idaho Census Committee. Prior to his time in the governor’s office, Mitzel served as deputy campaign manager and field director for Little, political director for the Idaho Association of Realtors and staff assistant for U.S. Senator Mike Crapo. He is a two-time Boise State alumnus, receiving a master’s degree in community and regional planning and a bachelor’s degree in history.
