what this country has been through the last six, seven years in the real estate crisis, why does the private money thing so important to aeg and the mgm? it s really important to us because we don t want to go to the community and ask for funds. we have a $375 million gm guaranteed maximum price. we ll get a fully fund that. we project 100 events in year one. out of those auto concerts, 25 sporting events, 15 boxing ufc. s five awards shows, like billboard. we can eventually get that return on investment by bringing this those high profile events. we didn t want to ask for public money. we felt we were better serve anded sofs the community. arena like this have been planned for years in las vegas, but they usually want some sort of public subsidy to help pay the bills. that s why we have a project that never got off the ground. it s very complicated to get public money and get taxing authority in order to make those things happen. we built the grand guard areason wra and mandalay
as a result of that, that s where the focus is, and this all works well together and integ gate grates well together because it s a total entertainment experience. certainly when we have events, the park will be thriving and be lively and will draw people in. then we can bring them all the way back here to plaza as well as the arena. it looks like there s a park wrar. there s water. well, this is a full entertainment district. it s unlike any other development. los to seven acres, and it will have approximately 85,000 square feet of food, beverage, and retail. the idea is that to pull our guests and visitors into a nice pleasing environment where they can actually relax. they can enjoy the park-like atmosphere. there s nothing like this. they can take the roof off of the areason wra so can you see this. leave something in the middle that looks like we have a hock where i rink in here. we also have a concert set up. we put hockey in here,
