NINE new high-quality houses in Romsey should be built for residents by early next year, the Advertiser understands. This comes as a planning application to build a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes in Cupernham Lane was given the green light by planning chiefs. A planning application was submitted to Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) to build the equestrian centre on land at Oak Tree Farm, Foxes Lane, West Wellow. The proposals, submitted by Blackwater Equestrian, were approved at TVBC’s Southern Area Planning Committee by nine votes to three. The plans received 121 objections and 26 letters of support and were deferred at the last committee meeting on November 17. The decision comes after it had been claimed the applicant started work on the site before permission had been granted.
