(Photo from Philippine Red Cross) PRC biomolecular laboratories chief Dr. Paulyn Ubial said as of Sunday, May 9, 2.5 million tests – both reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) swab and saliva tests, have been conducted in their COVID-19 testing laboratories. “Naka 2.8 million tests na tayo today (We have conducted 2.8 million as of today),” she said in an interview over TeleRadyo. The country’s premier humanitarian organization started conducting COVID-19 tests on April 14, 2020. In late January this year, it launched its saliva RT-PCR testing.
