It’s been just over a year since A Better Tent City moved in beside the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) office on Ardelt Avenue in Kitchener, and in that time, residents and staff say the tiny home community has flourished.
A new commercial kitchen has opened at A Better Tent City. It will be used to feed the people who live at the tiny home community in Kitchener healthy and delicious meals. Food columnist Andrew Coppolino visited them during a special lunch.
The 50 residents of a Better Tent City have lived at the Ardelt Avenue site since last fall, but the new facilities were not possible when they first moved.
