Motorists in the Whiterock Hill area of Wexford town are being urged ensure their cars are locked at night after items were stolen from several cars over the course of a number of nights last week.
Planning permission has been granted for two separate housing estates which would see 181 new homes built in the Wexford Municipal District in the coming years. In Mulgannon, Colm Neville Construction has received approval from Wexford County Council (WCC) for the development of 99 dwellings comprising of 60 houses and 39 duplex apartments.
A planning application has been received by Wexford County Council for the construction of 82 housing units and a creche on an 11-acre site at Coolballow and Starvehall, Drinagh on the outskirts of Wexford town, adjacent to the existing Ard Uisce estate.
A resident in a Wexford housing estate has had to replace five showers, two washing machines, five kettles and two dishwashers in her home in the past three years due to hard water problems but a €12 million upgrade currently under way at Newtown Road water treatment plant won’t provide a solution.
