Harness racing driver Kiwon Waldron, who hails from Bermuda, bid a fond farewell to the Hippodrome 3R horsepeople and fans as Sunday (Oct. 23) was his last day of racing before heading home.
The 2022 stakes season in Quebec got underway on a beautiful warm and sunny Friday afternoon (July 15) at Hippodrome 3R with two $10,000 divisions of the opening round of the Breeders Trophy Series for three-year-old trotters.
In a wild photo finish that saw the race favourite break stride and nearly come back to win, Bonfire Bash collected the glory in barely winning the $6,000 Preferred 2 & 3 Handicap Trot on Friday (July 8) at Hippodrome 3R.
Beginning this weekend, Hippodrome 3R (H3R) is set to begin live harness racing two days a week, Friday and Sunday. The Friday afternoon program begins at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s post time is 12 noon.
Three Quebec-Bred champion trotters from the 2021 harness racing season will battle it out Sunday (May 15) at Hippodrome 3R in the Preferred Trot co-feature.
