Letter to the editor: Still using Trump as an excuse

The illogical, absurd letter by William J. Bilo Sr. (“Republicans, do the right thing”) demands an answer. The Democrats simply will not let Donald Trump rest; he is their excuse when things go wrong, and they are going wrong big time. President Biden has been so hell bent on reversing

Sounding off: Plenty of blame for Afghanistan

What’s most astonishing about the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan is how astonished everyone professes to be, while conceding delaying the inevitable would not have prevented it. Failure is often an orphan; this one lays claim to plenty of fathers. Bill Clinton regrets not assassinating Osama Bin Laden after the 1998

Letter to the editor: Biden s job to restore our dignity

Letter-writer Jack Juris (“Biden will destroy our country,” May 8, TribLIVE) states that President Biden has made our country a laughingstock on the world stage. James Cataldi says “Biden proving to be worst ever” (May 10, TribLIVE). Archie Atkinson says “Biden will ruin country”

Letter to the editor: Dems will return House, Senate to GOP

TribLIVE s Daily and Weekly email newsletters deliver the news you want and information you need, right to your inbox. I have to give Democrats credit for imposing the mail-in vote, because I think that’s the only way Joe Biden could get elected. I hope the Democrats, awash with sudden power, continue to act in the manner we see every day; it ensures the Republicans will win back the House and Senate. He’s not my president; how does that sound, Democrats? So many of your party members shouted that in letters about President Trump. Waste two years and millions of taxpayers’ money by impeaching Biden with made-up stories about collusion with China via son Hunter how does that sound, Democrats? I could go on, but you get the picture.

Letter to the editor: We need to get rid of career politicians

TribLIVE s Daily and Weekly email newsletters deliver the news you want and information you need, right to your inbox. I am so sick and tired of politics. Mitch McConnell and other Republicans opposing $2,000 checks handed the Democrats a win in Georgia. Average people need the money! I would be ashamed to be a member of either party. That’s why I am an independent. Career politicians are ruining our country. People like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, McConnell, Steny Hoyer and many others should have been out of Congress long ago. Fresh faces with fresh new ideas are needed desperately instead of the longtime traditions of Washington.
