The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education recognized 62 parish and regional elementary schools Sept. 7 as Archdiocesan Schools of Distinguished Instruction.

After 17 years as a teacher and administrator at the Northeast Phila. high school, Nancy Kurtz now the interim superintendent for archdiocesan secondary schools has received the Spirit of Ryan Award.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education will host a virtual career fair for educators interested in teaching pre-K3 through eighth grade for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Subject areas include religion, math, science, social studies, STEM, English language arts, foreign language, music, art and physical education.
The virtual career fair will be Friday, April 16. Registration closes Tuesday, April 13, and a link to the event will be sent to those who register.

Interested candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Pennsylvania certification is desired. Clear criminal background and child abuse history checks are required in addition to archdiocesan Safe Environment Training.
